Naga can't be considered a fullycomplete race because they are still missing a lot of units and several buildings and they are not playable in custom games. In fact I think Naga could have and should have been a complete race but Blizzard probably got lazy and gave us a half finished race that could have been so cool to play on custom games.

and thats my point it was like they started it but did not care to finish they even made the portraits that you earn from playing as a race 25 Human wins=rifflemen 25 random wins=Naga 750=Vashj 1000=Illdian.
I tried to be nice but you are a plain dumbass. Firstly, you do not play 1 on 1 on high level, else you would know how stupid your suggestion to add a new race is. 2nd shut up and dont call others noobs and maphackers when you dont know what your talking and suck at what is called making a remaster version, reforged and not a new expansion.
That being said, ActiBlz is cutting costs for spending this year, so I doubt more resources will be put into supporting Reforged after release. This game isnt strong for monetization as it is, a few hero skins arent going to turn this game into a huge sweeping success with high demand for more content. New races arent in the cards, its more effort than its worth for Blizzard to make money off of compared to skin sales. Skins are risk-free since they dont need to be balanced or risk breaking the game over.
We dont even need naga in multiplayer tournaments or what ever, just add them as a fully fleshed out for custom games and playing against AI, add all kinds of extra races in the non pvp matchmaking system. So the 1% elitist can get a hard on for their non evolved gameplay that be the exact same in the old version while the actual community who just wants fun and more content can enjoy it far away from the 1% toxic elite group.
If we are graced with the option of having a new expansion in the future, then sure, we can move forward with wanting new content. However as far as Reforged goes, I would also advocate keeping the balance of current WC3 the same because that is the focus of Reforged. That is the single-most important factor in bringing any new idea concepts to the table; whether it be a new race, updated pathing, or any changes to the Upkeep system.
Of course there would be the issue of balancing the race since people consider it water restricted and what not. People seem to forget that you play the Naga mostly on solid ground during the campaign with only a few maps that had goodly sized bodies of water that you had to cross or got to see the Naga in their element. The only unique ability they have as a race is to stay submerged in water, like Criptwavers stay buried underground to ambush you. On sea or a big lake, this would be a horribly strong advantage since they could easily overpower ships.Another issue is with the Naga Royal Guards, those are the strongest units you can train from a playable, not to mention the Hydra.I hope this race gets added after it receives the necessary balancing. I would love to play it on my own terms and not restricted to the Campaign.
But recent balance shows, the Balance Team does not fully understand the balance, perhaps a new team and they did overbuff and overnerf Elf, Human and Orc things. I could imagine what would happen if they had to balance a 5th race.
You do realise that nearly all the abilities Naga units have are recycled from other races: frost armor, cyclone, slow poison, abolish magic, ensnare. They have half a tech tree designed only to get through the campaign.
Where Naga would be the most unique and fitting would be on a new map pool where all of the other 4 races had a Shipyard available, and the Naga did not, because of their special amphibious movement type feature.
To that end, Blizzard hired the user Kam who created a mod that is much like this named Beyond the Throne that includes a full-on finished Naga race, as well as a Shipyard for the Orcs and for the Humans. It is available online if you search for it. The content in Beyond the Throne is highly customized, though. Instead of a custom Undead race it has the Lost which are uniquely different and have flying ships instead of a Shipyard.
As for the original topic, blood elves and chaos orcs. These races are too similar to the humans and orcs that if they were included in multiplayer they should be nothing more than skins. If you want to make them unique, custom maps are the way to go, but in standard ladder, skins and nothing more.
Really though, demons are something of a major player in the lore (even more so than the naga tbh) and have most of what they need to become a full fledged race.Just need to fill a few gaps and make a few buildings. Which is harder than it sounds but still.
I totally support this. It is exactly what we need.It would greatly help custom content creators, and it would be much better than creating a fifth race usable in multiplayer, which would make the game even harder to balance.
I hope that Naga would become playable race (they are almost equal to other races, the biggest issue is that they have just one hero) in W:R maybe in some DLC or just in major update, if there will be one in the future. Although they said that they will not be adding new content, I think that that might change depending on the success of this remaster :)

But i dont think they want. It would be quite risky. a 5th race to balance in this STR... I would love to serve azshara ! I did want it already before wow, buuuut i dont think this would happen.

As you said they can draw many inspiration from WoW to fill the gaps with ease. They might add them in DLC where we could see what Azshara was doing all these years. I do not see that as a risky move though, many players, from what I can tell, like them and Azshara's story would be very interesting :) .. the balance will be always challenging, even without adding new faction into the game. This race way also in the campaign and ti does not feel broken, too op, ofc in competitive play, pro-players could definitely find ways, they always do :Dbtw For Queen Azshara, for the Light of Lights!
I actually prefer the WoW snapdragons. They're clearly eel-based, whereas these just look like naga-dogs. Which is fine and dandy. To each their own. I just love me some eels.Gives snapdragons a goofy charm that I find endearing.
The naga are former Highborne night elves who mutated into vengeful humanoid sea serpents. While many remain on Azeroth to attempt to reclaim the surface world, a large group followed the betrayer, Illidan Stormrage, into Outland and proceeded to claim the watery areas of the shattered land.[1] In addition to their natural longevity, a number of naga develop mutations that increase their life spans even further. Some are immortal.[2]
When the naga awakened, they set about building a new life for themselves on the ocean depths, within the abyssal sea trench beneath the swirling waters of the Maelstrom they built their new city, Nazjatar. Azshara herself expanded with hate and rage, becoming a massive monstrosity, reflecting the wickedness and malice that had always hidden within her core. For 10,000 years, these elves of the abyss dwelt in a dark and powerful empire. Pagodas and balconies line the deep trenches, glimmering lights picking out the shapes of cities in the cold black. Sinuous figures drift and twist along the passageways, their elven origins difficult to discern.[14]
There in the depths of the ocean for ten thousand years the Naga plotted their revenge against the night elves. Most naga are still content to wait. However, a small group led by the naga Sea Witch, Lady Vashj, answered a summons from Illidan Stormrage to aid him in his quest to destroy the Frozen Throne.
More recently naga have begun to reappear around the coasts of the world, creating settlements on land, most noticeably in the ruins of their old cities in Azshara. It seems as though they are now followers of the Old Gods, as they have made alliances with the Twilight's Hammer cult and the corrupt satyr. They have laid claim to several stretches of coast on both continents, including in Darkshore, Ashenvale, Desolace, Feralas, Dustwallow Marsh, Azshara, Hillsbrad Foothills, Arathi Highlands, and Stranglethorn Vale. They have significant numbers and pose a serious threat to anyone standing in their way.[15] 2ff7e9595c
