Fantastic is the debut studio album by British pop duo Wham!, released on 9 July 1983. It reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. It included the previously released singles "Young Guns", "Wham! Rap" and "Bad Boys". "Club Tropicana" was released as a single to coincide with the album's release. Although not on the album, "Club Fantastic Megamix" (a medley of songs from the album) was released against the band's wishes by Innervision soon after Fantastic, and whilst they were in proceedings to leave the label.[5]

Michael and Ridgeley embarked on a UK tour to promote the album in October 1983, opening at Aberdeen's Capitol Theatre, before going on to dates in Scotland, England and Wales ending in November at the Centre in Brighton.

In 1983, I had moved to Sixth Form college and my social scene was starting to develop, I went to this concert with a few friends, Dave and a couple of girls from outside college and it was quite poppy for me. Club Tropicana had just come out and Wham were touring their first album, Fantastic.
As an unironic fan of WHAM!'s effortless bubblegum pop, it would give this writer great pleasure to see some sort of catalogue activity occur for the boys. And this final show at Wembley Arena might be the flashpoint for any such product. Hit the jump to read up on how everything in the band's career culminated in that show - and how we'd present the concert for fans, Reissue Theory-style!Despite all the mugging for the camera and good-time grooves offered by WHAM! in their three-year run, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley were all business. Unlike other pop idols of the day, they were heavily involved in the creation of their own music; Michael (along with Ridgeley, often unfairly relegated to "other guy" status in retrospect) wrote and co-produced the band's debut, Fantastic (1983) and fully produced the follow-up, 1984's Make It Big.
On Pats O-Coord:Word is that the offense will actually be a committee of Brady, BB and QB coach Josh McDaniels with McDaniels so far actually calling the plays. And they'll be using the Weis offense (I watch all the Pats pre-season games and the passing game was classic Weis and the running game was the wham play heavy rushing attack they began moving to last season).
I checked my old college Stats textbook. 100 * stddev / mean is defined as the "coeficient of variance". I have the word "useless" written next to it, so apparently I wasn't very impressed with this measure back in 1983? Working backwards, Arizona's stddev = 115 * 6.4 / 100 = 7.36. KC is at the low end at 64 * 9.5 / 100 = 6.08. A normal curve = 1, so these are very fat tailed distributions. This is evidence of a very competitive league where a single play/bounce/call can sometimes determine the outcome. I don't know if I should cry or get out the ouiga board?
james - If "computers are bad at predicting things", then why do we use them to predict things all the time? Also, I have no idea what this "parity" in the NFL is that you speak of. The salary cap makes it harder to have a continuously great team, but the Eagles are a shining example of how that is possible, and McNabb just had his first truly great year, numbers wise, he has been supported by fantastic defense and special teams through the past few years. 2ff7e9595c
